Мета:

Розвивати мовленнєві здібності та вміння працювати в команді.

Сприяти переходу лексики з пасивного запасу до активного.

Розвивати пізнавальний інтерес учнів.

Формувати культуру спілкування.

Виховувати почуття самостійності та вміння долати труднощі.

Виховувати інтерес та любов до вивчення англійської мови.

1. We are glad to see you here today. As you know, English is spoken in many countries of the world.                                                                                                         Why do we learn English?                                                                                        2.Чому ми вчимо англійську мову?

1.English is the international language spoken in many countries both as native and as second or foreign language. It is taught in the schools in almost every country. It is spoken by over 300 million people as their native language. English occupies the leading position among such languages as Chinese, Spanish, Arabic and French.

2.Англійська мова – це міжнародна мова, якою розмовляють в багатьох країнах світу як рідна мова або друга мова чи іноземна. Її вивчають у майже у всіх школах світу. Нею розмовляють понад 300 мільйонів людей як рідною мовою. Англійська мова займає лідируючі позиції серед таких мов як китайська, іспанська, арабська і французька.

 2.Why is learning a foreign language important to me?

1.Чому для мене важливо вивчати англійську мову?

2. Learning to speak foreign languages is the best thing I can do to improve my life and open new doors. First of all, I get access to knowledge. Today's media, such as the internet, television, and the press, give you almost unlimited access to knowledge about your favorite subjects. But most of this knowledge is in a foreign language.

1.Навчаючись розмовляти англійською, це найкраще, що я можу зробити, щоб покращити своє життя і відчинити нові двері. Перш за все, я отримую доступ до знань. Сьогоднішні медіа, такі як інтернет, телебачення і преса дають тобі безмежний доступ до знань з улюбленого предмету. Але більшість цих знань є на іноземній мові.                           

English is wonderful,

English is great.

We can travel to England

By plane or by train.

We should speak it well

To make many friends.

 I met a little girl

Who came from another land.

I couldn’t speak her language

But I took her by the hand.

Had such fun.

Dancing is a language

You can speak with anyone.

1.If you know English, you can watch your favorite TV shows without any translation, without reading subtitles! You will be able to enjoy these movies in their original form. It is more pleasure to listen to the real voices of the actors, isn`t it?

2.Якщо ти знаєш англійську мову, ти можеш дивитися телевізійні програми без перекладу, без читання субтитрів. Ти можеш захоплюватися переглядом фільмів в оригіналі. Адже це є приємніше слухати справжні голоси акторів, чи не так?

2.As for me, I want to read foreign literature in the original. My dream is to read Shakespeare in the original. He was the greatest writer in the English language. William Shakespeare's plays have the reputation of being among the greatest in the English language and in Western literature.

1. Щодо мене, то я хочу читати іноземну мову в оригіналі. Моя мрія – це прочитати в оригіналі Шекспіра. Він був найзнаменитішим англійським письменником . П’єси  Вільяма Шекспіра є найкращими в англійській мові та західній літературі.

 

3.William Shakespeare was born in 1564 in England. He wrote lots of famous plays. Some of them were very funny comedies. Shakespeare also acted in his plays. People loved  Shakespeare’s plays, and there was always a big audience at the Globe Theatre. People stood around the stage. They cheered and clapped. Sometimes they threw rotten fruit at the bad actors.

2.In addition, in my nearly future I want to find a well-paid job related to foreign languages .

1. У своєму майбутньому я хочу знайти добре оплачувану роботу, пов’язану з іноземною мовою.
1.To sum up I am sure that English is worth studying. There is a proverb: "A new language is a new world". Without doubt you can't do without learning this beautiful language. 

2. Англійська мова заслуговує на вивчення. Прислів’я каже «Нова мова – новий світ». Без сумніву ти не можеш зробити цього без вивчення іноземної мови.

Англієць:  I’m from England, the main part of Great Britain. Great Britain is one of the most beautiful and richest countries of the world. I live in London, capital of  England and Great Britain. I work in Scotland Yard.

Шотландець:  I’m from Scotland, another part of Great Britain. Scotland is famous for its wonderful mountains and lakes. They say that the Loch Ness monster lives in one of the lakes. The national Scottish costume is a kilt. The Scottish like to sing and dance very much.

Американець: Hi! I’m from America. America is one of the greatest and richest countries in the world. Americans speak English. I’m an American farmer. I’m wearing blue jeans. Jeans first appeared in America. The American cowboys liked to wear jeans which are now popular all over the world.

Канадієць:  I’m from Canada. Some people in Canada speak English and some people speak French. My country is large and beautiful. Canada is rich in forests, that’s why a maple leaf is on our national flag. Canadians are fond of playing hockey. Our hockey team is one of the best in the world.

Індианка:  Hello! I’m from India. English is spoken in India, too. My country is rich in precious stones and many other beautiful things. We have a lot of big elephants. Indian tea is drunk all over the world.

Австралієць:  Hi! I’m from Australia. People in Australia speak English. Do you know me? I’m a kangaroo. I only live in Australia. I like to jump. But all of us like singing  songs very much.
